About the Founder
Descent Protection Group was founded by Giovanni De Luca Blakeman, whose career began in the British Parachute Regiment. During his service he developed a disciplined approach to risk assessment, situational awareness, and protective security within demanding operational environments.
Following his military career, Giovanni moved into the private security sector, working in close protection roles responsible for safeguarding high-net-worth individuals and operating within professional protective teams where preparation, discretion, and sound judgement are essential.
This experience now informs his work within the residential security space, where he applies professional protective principles to help homeowners understand risk, strengthen their security posture, and protect what matters most.
